Last night, it poured with rain again in London, and was cold too… there was no temptation to leave the house, it therefore proved to be an ideal time to attempt the next stage of painting up ‘the Can’.

The bright red central band and red diagonals on the lower band get another coat…

The top lip of the can is lined out in bright red and the spout picked out in cream…

The handle is painted bright red and the main surface of the can divided into smaller sections where ultimately the flowers will be painted…

(ps. excitingly I’ve been given a couple of new contacts who either knew of or indeed owned Eileen back in the 1970’s, hopefully they may be able to fill in some of the gaps in her history.)
