When we visited Eileen on Wednesday, new scarecrows greeted us. They stand guard on the field adjacent to Eileen’s mooring, eyeless faces looking after pumpkin seedlings and early Summer lettuces, muddy puddles and a few brave weeds… They could be seen to be a mildly sinister presence, but I’d prefer to think of them as our ‘Three Wise Men’, acting as guardians of the mooring, keeping order when we’re not around…

ps. I’m making progress on firming up the history of our Eileen. I’m hoping to get a first re-draft of the history completed in the coming week.
