Boats on the Avon, Summer Evening by V. Pirlot

The weather’s preventing the next phase of renovation on our Eileen. I had hoped to make a start on the external paintwork this month, but the lousy forecast makes painting outside look an increasingly unlikely prospect.

So on this damp, grey, dull Friday morning perhaps just a couple of images of the family enjoying being outside, despite the weather…

Joe, last week, in Regent’s Park, throwing bread for (at?) the ducks and pigeons…
The family – suited and booted – and prepared for an English Summer afloat…
Molly videoing our watery world…
Claire tending Broadmoor Lock, South Oxford Canal…
Even when we’re in Central London, Joe’s out there collecting twigs for Eileen’s stove… it’s a very serious job!
An image that symbolises the Summer so far?
