After the recent cold snap, and now with the forecast swinging to a wet, wet, wet few days, I really feel the need for a little bit of Summer and digital sunshine to lighten the gloom.
These, recently found, photos capture a small part of a Summer trip, on my previous boat ‘Onward’, from Cropredy on the South Oxford, down the Thames to London.
They were taken getting on for 20 years ago and show ‘Onward’ in it’s ‘tug’ incarnation. An old mate Dan joined me for the trip, camping out in the hold (you can see the turquoise of his tent in some of the shots…).
I suspect memory deceives, but I remember it as a period of long, warm Summers. if only, if only…
