The final hours of a short but pretty damned lovely few days away. Joe’s looking back hoping to spot Fin and mum walking along the towpath. Eileen eases past the encroaching bullrushes on the approach to Nell Bridge.

A photo capturing contrasts, we’ve passed beneath the roaring M40 and now pass under the type of lift bridge that has graced the South Oxford for two centuries…
Joe takes us into the outskirts of Banbury… whilst mum feels able to chill-out for a few moments on the cabin top…
From rural to urban, an old iron boat under the sleek curves of the concrete New Road Bridge.
Eileen returned, we’ve had a wonderful few days. Now the adventure of the re-paint, more news on that tomorrow.
