The milder, dryer weather has come at just the right time for the final stage of the current work on repainting Eileen’s bow and back cabin.
This photograph taken in twilight, so the colours aren’t absolutely accurate, I think shows how successfully Jez is capturing the industrial aesthetic we’re after; with correct colours beautifully applied and the simple decoration.

Another view, this time looking further back towards the stern shows the panels prepared to receive the lettering. Gorgeously sharp coach-lines, and the proportions of green to white to red look, to my eyes, just right.
The steelwork, thanks to Jez taking everything back to bare metal, looks like new. Almost too perfect for an old day boat!
