During my visit to Castle Fields Boat Dock at the Black Country Living Museum one particular window caught my eye. It held a delightful example of a painted panel, possibly from a back cabin door. Although rather worn, chipped and faded the photographs help reveal something of the panel’s former glory, and something of the techniques used in its execution. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
