The annual, and really rather wonderful, Shackerstone Family Festival took place at the weekend. For The Boys and me it’s the last major water/railway-related festival of the year, added to which it falls on the weekend after their birthday, so we try to make the pilgrimage up the M1 to attend.

It’s a cracking good celebration of countless enthusiasts enthusiasms! From historic caravans to steam engines, from heritage boats to parachute display teams, from donkey rides to old motorbikes …

We had a wonderful time in the sunshine, as hopefully the following three posts will show…
